KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services was founded in Beverly Hills in 1998 by Alex Darbahani — an entrepreneur driven by a simple but powerful belief: that luxury transportation should feel like arriving, not just getting there.
Growing up in Stockholm, Sweden, Alex was instilled with curiosity and ambition from an early age. In 1989, with only $385 in his savings, he made the bold decision to move to California — driven by a vision to build something lasting in the land of opportunity.
He began his career in the early 1990s as a Los Angeles limousine driver, then moved into management with a growing service based in Culver City — home to many of Hollywood's largest production facilities and executive offices. He learned the business from the ground up and saw what it could become with the right standard.
In 1998, Alex started KLS in Beverly Hills with a single town car. Word spread quickly among the executives, entertainers, and high-net-worth individuals of Los Angeles. The reputation for discretion, punctuality, and genuine excellence was impossible to replicate and difficult to replace.
Today, KLS operates across 650+ cities through a carefully vetted worldwide affiliate network — all held to the same standard Alex set over 25 years ago. The fleet has grown. The geography has expanded to every major city on earth. But the standard has never wavered.
